Counseling for Couples and Individuals
Learn, Grow, and Fulfill Your Relationship Goals.
Learn to Improve Your Relationship
Conflict in relationships can be distressing and lead to feeling disconnected from your partner. Participating in couple counseling can help you to understand the emotional needs you are experiencing, improve emotional connection, and help you find more effective ways to communicate these needs to your partner. As your therapist my approach is neutral—my client is your relationship, and I am not here to take sides.
Invest in Your Relationship with Yourself
We all have a tendency to put others first, but in doing so, we can sometimes neglect our relationship with ourselves. Counseling can help you achieve self-confidence and develop the skills you will need for self-determined success. Our work together will help you define the concepts of healthy boundaries and healthy relationships in a way tailored to meet your emotional needs. Let me help you nurture your needs and reconnect with yourself.

Hi, I’m Evelyn Rodriguez, LMFT
My Overall Approach
I take a culturally-sensitive, client-centered approach. This means that I tailor my approach to your unique situation, including your individual needs, lifestyle, and racial/cultural background. You are the expert about your life and my role is to help you reflect on and make sense of the world you live in.
In order to help you understand, process and overcome your personal difficulties, I help you interpret situations from an attachment-centered perspective. Attachment theory is based on learning how you attach and bond emotionally to people and situations. Understanding the role your particular attachment style has in your life can help you find more effective ways to cope with daily life stressors—including depression and anxiety symptoms—while also learning to build healthy intimacy in relationships.
Whether I am working with Couples or Individuals, I aim to help you break down the barriers and the "shoulds" that often keep you feeling trapped and under pressure. I strive to help you define what is YOUR normal in order for you to live a life where you feel congruent and genuine. Together we will address any confusion and self-doubt that may arise about vulnerable issues and help you gain the confidence you need to allow you to feel like you can be your TRUE self.
A Little About Me
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and private practice owner in Pasadena, CA. I am bilingual and speak fluent Spanish. When it comes to my practice, I am passionate about helping others find their own motivation and inspiration to carve their own path in their mental health journey.
I want to share the knowledge, skills, and wisdom I have learned along the way to save people the emotional pain of having to start from scratch. I hope to help others learn the skills they need to manage their emotions, grow into the person they want to be, and to have meaningful and fulfilling relationships. You don’t have to do this alone.
“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.”
